After the Program
Associates’ career development is a top priority, both during and after the Koch Associate Program. Throughout the year, Associates benefit from career guidance, networking opportunities, resume writing workshops, and presentation and interview training. As the program nears completion, the Foundation helps Associates find opportunities to continue working to advance the ideas of liberty.
Associates are often hired into their non-profit positions full-time, while others may decide to explore new opportunities at other market-oriented non-profit organizations, graduate school, the public sector, and even highly leveraged for-profit positions. Whatever path Associates choose, the Foundation encourages them to find the right role that advances liberty, based on their skills and interests.
The Foundation’s alumni program continues to support Associates after the program, through Alumni networking events, continuing career guidance, MBM® workshops, and other professional development opportunities. Alumni are encouraged to join the online alumni network and to remain in contact with the Foundation throughout their careers.
Alumni are currently advancing liberty at a wide variety of organizations spread throughout many different sectors. Here are a few of their stories:
- Nick Dunn Program Coordinator of Policy at the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation
- Sarah Field Deputy Director of the State Courts Project at Federalist Society
- Allison Kasic Director of the R. Gaull Silberman Center at Collegiate Studies for Independent Women’s Forum
- Leah Kral Performance Measurement Manager at the Mercatus Center
