Sarah Field

Thanks to her parents and New Hampshire’s laissez-faire politics, Sarah Field was raised to be a free-market enthusiast. She attended Grove City College, which, she says, furnished her with the “intellectual foundation necessary to understand the social benefits of free markets and limited government.” Her enthusiasm continued in law school, where she served as the president of her school’s chapter of the Federalist Society. Her growing interest in non-profit law and taxation led her to the Koch Associate Program and accompanying policy work.

Sarah currently works at the Federalist Society, serving as the deputy director of the State Courts Project, which she says educates the public about “the proper role of state courts and providing balanced scholarship on state Supreme Court jurisprudence.”

Sarah attributes her ability to be more efficient, customer-based, and entrepreneurial to the Koch Associate Program and learning Market-Based Management®. Although she says that change within a professional framework can be difficult for her, being an Associate taught her that adaptability can be a challenging, yet rewarding, skill to learn.

After a long day of educating the public about reforming the court systems, Sarah enjoys going for a run, reading, and baking. When she has the chance, she also enjoys sailing with her husband.
