Nick Dunn
Nick came to the Koch Associate Program in 2007 because he wanted to further the principles of the Science of Liberty™. He had always been interested in doing policy work, but the opportunities provided by the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation gave Nick the ideological fuel to advocate for freedom by offering a more centered and applied approach to social change. Nick discovered his enthusiasm for free markets through the philosophy and ideas found in Bastiat’s The Law, Hayek’s The Road to Serfdom, and Sowell’s Knowledge and Decisions.
Nick currently works for the policy group at the Foundation and coordinates tax and fiscal policy initiatives, which seek to communicate the burden that unsound fiscal policy will impose on future generations. He works with staff, Associates, and interns to implement communications projects around the country.
Nick credits the Koch Associate Program with laying a groundwork of ideas and thought that is invaluable in his pursuit of the Foundation’s mission. For him, the program’s speakers offered the constant support, inspiration, and motivation necessary for bringing about societal progress.
When not facilitating projects to advance liberty, Nick enjoys traveling, running, barbequing, and dominating the D.C. Think-Tank softball league with his fellow “Koch Classical Liberals.”
