Below are examples of the kinds of roles we filled for the 2008-09 Koch Associate Program.

MBM® Associate
The Associate will join the Market-Based Management® team in teaching and applying Market-Based Management.
Program Associate, Leadership & Talent Development
The Associate will help manage talent programs, an ideal role for those interested in program/project management or organizational leadership.
Human Resource Associate
The Human Resource Associate will play an integral part in maintaining a streamlined hiring process for Foundation openings and talent initiatives.
Education Watch Director
The Education Watch Director will help to shape the debate on school choice by tracking the activities, leadership, and funding sources of non-profit policy advocacy groups that either support or oppose school choice and education reform.
Production Assistant
Our organization is looking for talented individuals to join the production team and assist in the creation of mini-documentaries and other content.
Communications Associate
The Associate will work with state directors and communications officers to craft press releases and op-eds on pertinent free-market topics such as government spending and taxpayer rights.  The Associate will help individual state chapters to identify opportunities for earned media and developing media buzz in local markets.
Online Editor
The organization seeks a Web-based journalist and editor for our online magazine.
Development Associate
The Development Associate will manage a complex and aggressive direct mail and marketing program. This is an entry-level position in the field of fundraising and marketing.  
Marketing and Recruiting Associate
The Associate for Marketing & Recruiting will assist in developing materials and strategy for the marketing of the Foundation's talent development programs, focusing primarily on communications and measurement.
Leadership and Talent Development Associate

The Associate will help manage the Foundation's two key talent development programs. This is an ideal role for those interested in talent development, program/project management, or organizational leadership.

Higher Education Analyst
The Higher Education Analyst will inform the strategy of the Koch Foundation’s Higher Education Initiative by reviewing literature and conducting original research. The goal of the analyst will be to understand how ideas become socially influential, the role universities play in the process, and the university environment in general.
Program Officer for Institutional Advancement
The Program Officer will work to advance the organization's core values of academic excellence, academic freedom, and accountability in higher education by advocating for these values in the public sphere, augmenting its financial resources (and, thereby, its ability to advocate for these values), and developing and implementing new programs.
Placement Coordinator
The coordinator must be a highly organized, entrepreneurial and detail-oriented worker, so to play a strategic role in helping to improve efforts to place graduate students and faculty in academic job openings. Candidates should have an interest in research and information management, and a strong working knowledge of higher education, particularly of American universities. Commitment to a mission of advancing individual liberty and related ideas is essential.
Web and New Media Coordinator
The Web and New Media Coordinator will play a key role bolstering web presence and developing and implementing new media for a focused department.  In conjunction with day to day content management of two websites, the coordinator will have the flexibility to explore projects that add value to our strategic objectives.
State Policy Analyst
The State Policy Analyst is responsible for researching and reporting on the latest trends in economic public policy (tax, spending, transparency, and regulation issues) at the state level.  The Analyst will expand the organization's involvement in state and local fiscal issues by leveraging our extensive policy expertise with the aim of limiting government and lowering taxes.
Policy Analyst
Policy Analysts will help to inform elected decisionmakers, the media, and citizens about the costs and burden of government. Individuals with well-rounded skill sets who can make a positive impact and help move projects forward will make a successful analyst.
Communications Associate
The Communications Associate is responsible for publicizing research and analysis through outreach to the media and public policy community. The Associate will expand presence in both traditional media and online/new media.
Marketing Assistant/ Coordinator
The marketing assistant/ coordinator will support marketing communications efforts in a fast-paced environment. 
Education Analyst
The Education Analyst will be a part of a growing and energetic educational programs team and report to the Director of Educational Programs.
Website Coordinator and Reporter/ Writer
The Website coordinator will manage the website, stay abreast of current higher education news, and report and write articles for the site and other outlets.
MBM Associate Teacher
The Associate will join the Market-Based Management team in teaching and applying Market-Based Management.
MBM Associate Measurement Analyst

The Associate will join the Market-Based Management team in developing and applying the measures critical to success of talent and other programs.

MBM Associate Project Manager
The Associate will join the Market-Based Management team to help plan, organize, and coordinate programmatic elements and activities of the MBM team.
Policy Grant Associate

The Policy Grant Associate will assist in the development of funding strategies to educate key audiences on sound public policy. The Associate will become knowledgeable about the strategy which involves coordinating the work of academics, think tanks, grassroots, and PR firms to ensure the public has a better understanding of economic freedom and the costs associated with burdensome government.  The Associate should be familiar with each of these types of organizations though they are likely to specialize in coordinating the activities of one type of organization (for example, they might work with a team which coordinates the activities of think tanks or they might work with a team to coordinate the activities of outreach groups). 

Program Coordinator

Assist in supporting teachers and students through event planning and follow through, volunteer coordination.

Research Assistant
Research Assistants would be responsible for assisting senior scholars with background research on federal regulatory policy issues, and assisting senior scholars and staff with various administrative duties.
Legal Fellow
As a Legal Fellow, the Associate will work closely with scholars, exploring market-based solutions to current regulatory policy issues and gaining the skills and experience necessary to effect policy change.
Teen Program Associate
Research local offerings and develop new out of school offerings for teens in the area.
Public Policy Associate
Develop data and information to utilize when working with legislators and volunteers to influence public policy and community perception.
Development Associate
The organization hopes to effectively engage policymakers, the media and the public in Washington and beyond. The Development Associate will now focus on the education of these core constituencies on energy and environmental issues from a free-market perspective.
Public Relations Associate

The Public Relations Associate for media relations will help increase media opportunities and messaging for scholars.

Production Assistant
The production assistant will join the production team and assist in the creation of mini-documentaries and other content.
Research Assistant
The research assistant will perform policy analysis, working closely with senior policy experts across several areas of research.
Development Associate

Development Associates are responsible for contributing to the integrated strategy of the fundraising team.  The strategy is built around relationship building and marketing the organization to current and potential donors.
