Application Requirements

If you wish to be considered for the Koch Internship Program, you will need to submit the following items online:

  1. A resume;
  2. A statement of no more than 100 words on what you hope to gain by participating in the Koch Internship Program;
  3. A list five people or books that have influenced your philosophical or ideological thinking about the role of government. For each, write one sentence to explain how it has affected your thinking, limiting your entire response to no more than 100 words;
  4. A statement of no more than 50 words on the ideal role of government;
  5. An example of a specific government policy that aligns with your view of the ideal role of government, described in no more than 100 words;
  6. Drawing on your extracurricular, academic, or work-related experiences, provide a statement of no more than 150 words on your biggest failure or mistake, including what you did wrong and how you responded;
  7. Please write a poem relating to free markets that begins with the words, "Roses are Red..."
  8. Please provide the names and email addresses of three references, along with their relationship to you. Letters of recommendation or reference are not required.
