How Interns Are Selected
The Koch Internship Program is competitive and selects only the most promising candidates. The Foundation looks for the following attributes in a potential intern:
- Current college student, graduate student, or recent graduate
- Solid academic record
- Solid understanding of and commitment to market principles and the advancement of liberty
- Demonstrated evidence of leadership ability or entrepreneurial spirit
- Interest in a non-profit sector career
- Humility, integrity, passion, motivation, and a self-starter attitude
Candidates who meet the above criteria are invited to apply. Candidates who apply for the Internship Program are carefully evaluated based on their application materials. Those who are chosen as finalists undergo interviews with Foundation staff members and may be asked for references or additional materials.
